Waders on Wednesday-Roseate Spoonbill in Flight

Well, I'm back from my whirlwind trip to Florida and after a couple of days spent recovering from approximately 24 hours of driving in three days and finishing up the final requirements of my day job, I'm finally ready to start posting again.  Unfortunately I haven't had much chance to edit/develop the thousands of images from Florida yet, so today's Waders on Wednesday will be just a teaser.  I took this flight shot of an immature Roseate Spoonbill taking off late one afternoon at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm Rookery.  While the spoonbills (particularly immatures) have been hanging around for many years, this year several pairs actually nested.

I'll have a full post, hopefully by the end of the week.  Until then, enjoy!

  3. Thanks Debbie and Kerri. If you liked this one, wait until you see the others... Won't be getting them up tonight though. I should be long in bed. Thanks again for the comments.
