Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge-Part II

Some more images from my recent trip to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge on Assateague Island in Virginia.  Enjoy!

A juvenile double-crested cormorant (Phalacrocorax auritus) swims in a drainage ditch surrounded by reflections.

A great egret (Ardea alba) flying near sunset changes direction in mid-flight.

A great egret (Ardea alba) pauses during fishing and is reflected in the tanin-rich waters of an impoundment.
