Things have finally eased up enough with the search for a new day job that I've had a chance to get out photographing, edit some images, and make a post. I'm thrilled to finally be getting some new images up on the blog. The slideshow below is from a half-day trip I took to Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and Cambridge, MD. The sunrise in the morning was one of the best I've seen in a while and I really enjoyed spending time with the usual flock of canvasbacks and other ducks that hang out near the sea wall at the end of Oakley St. Enjoy the images! As always, view the slideshow full screen for the best viewing experience (hitting ESC when you are done watching will bring you straight back to the blog). I hope to have some close-up images from a recent ice storm up tomorrow...

ReplyDeleteThey are all beautiful!!! Best wishes on the job hunt!
ReplyDeleteJohn, Beverly, and William thanks so much for the kind comments. It was a beautiful day and I'm glad to be able to share it with you.
ReplyDelete@Ray-Thanks! You got the 7D right? Very jealous! The new lens is great, although I'm looking forward to the spring when the insects and flowers will provide more opportunity for macro subjects. I definitely need to keep working on depth of field issues and probably get a focusing rail (with the fixed-length lens I can't zoom in and out which I'm not used to). I hope to have some macro ice shots up from my yard (all taken with my new lens), later today. Miss you!
