Ice Storm! Images of Plants Encased in Ice

Last Tuesday I woke up to a snow day from teaching and a world covered in ice.  With all this copious free-time, I couldn't resist getting out a little bit to photograph all the vegetation covered with ice.  Of course, driving somewhere in the car wouldn't have been the brightest thing to do (although that hasn't stopped me in the past).  So, I photographed the vegetation around my house.  It gave me a chance to test out the new Canon EF 180mm f/3.5L Macro Lens that my girls got me for Christmas.  Hope you enjoy the images!  Stay warm!

  2. John and Cindy, thanks very much for the kind comments. With the fixed length macro lens, I feel like I'm sort of learning macro all over again. So, it is nice to hear the positive feedback I've been getting on this series. Maybe I'll get a chance for some more later this week... Thanks also to all who commented/RTed on Twitter!
