Last weekend I had the chance to spend the morning at Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge in Cambridge, MD. This is one of my favorite spots on the Eastern Shore. Autumn is beginning to get in full swing; many of the trees are beginning to turn, the large flocks of geese and ducks are starting to arrive, and the resident and dispersing eagles are evident throughout the refuge.
